COVID-19 has disrupted every aspect of our lives. We have an opportunity to shape our economic recovery as we emerge from the pandemic. This panel will explore the opportunities for a sustainable and economic resilient recovery for Hawaiʻi Island while considering environmental, social, and economic factors.

County of Hawaiʻi - Research and Development Department
Princess Agina is an Economic Development Specialist in the Research and Development Department of the County of Hawaiʻi and a Fulbright Scholar (México, 2020). Her background in economic development stems from her two and a half years of service in the Peace Corps, where she served as a Community Economic Development Specialist in Costa Rica. She has worked as a multicultural strategy and advertising consultant for Walmart Inc., helped create new education policy for the State of Louisiana and developed community data tools for the Greater New Orleans Housing Alliance as an Urban Leader Fellow, developed operational strategies for Teach For America, and is the founder and Executive Director of BusinessU Ventures (a social entrepreneurship camp for youth in México and New Orleans). Princess obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing and minored in Psychology at Prairie View A&M University.
