The board packet becomes available for public inspection at the time the meeting materials are distributed to the Commission members.  The packet is open to inspection during office hours at the Kona office of the Planning Department, West Hawai‘i Civic Center, 74-5044 Ane Keohokālole Highway, Building E, 2nd Floor, Kailua-Kona, Hawai‘i.

Sign Permit/Sign Variance Applicants: The Department of Public Works (DPW) requests that sign permit/sign variance applications which require review by KVDC should be submitted to the Planning Department at least one week in advance of the KVDC application submittal deadline, to allow time for: (1) DPW review of the application for completeness and compliance with the basic dimensional and positioning requirements of the Sign Code and KVDC referral requirements, and (2) DPW referral to KVDC with required forms, copies and material samples.
