The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has collaborated with the Hawaiʻi Small Business Development Center to launch an SBA Business Recovery Center in Kailua-Kona on September 18.
This center offers various services to assist small businesses affected by the Maui wildfires that started on August 8. It follows an expanded declaration by the Biden Administration, granting access to wildfire-related disaster assistance for small businesses in all five Hawaiʻi counties. The center provides individual consultations with SBA representatives to explain how SBA disaster loans can support businesses in their recovery. Similar assistance centers are also available in Honolulu, Kauai, Kihei, and Lahaina.
