Activate Puna is a community revitalization and placemaking project that brings people together for enriching experiences around art, food, and music. The activation shines a deliberate light on Puna's people, culture and stories; spurs economy; builds social cohesion; and beautifies community spaces.

The block party and benefit concert takes place on Saturday, May 13, 2023 in Downtown Pāhoa from 4pm til pau.

Check out the creative, artisan and food pop-ups for free on Pāhoa Village Road. Tickets for the benefit concert can be purchased at activatepuna.com (use promo code ACTIVATE for $10 off general admin tickets). All monies raised go back to Puna youth, including to the Mainstreet Pāhoa Scholarship Fund, which provides annual scholarships to high school seniors, and to support youth-led initiatives at Pāhoa schools such as graduation, prom, and makahiki.

Enjoy entertainment by Anuhea, Natural Vibrations, AI POHAKU, The Steppas, Drew Daniels, Payton Sullivan, Onipa‘a and more. Program starts at 4pm with a pule and hula by Kūkulu Kumuhana ‘O Puna.
